Reign Grappling Club is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and grappling academy based in Sutherland, NSW — built on the belief that the mat is one of the most honest places a person can be.

Meet Your Instructor
Kaine Wilken is the founder and head coach of Reign Grappling Club — a highly-decorated black belt and one of the most accomplished competitors to come out of the Sutherland Shire.
Kaine earned his black belt under ex-UFC fighter and multi-discipline champion Bernardo “Trekko” Magalhaes through the prestigious Ribeiro Jiu-Jitsu lineage — one of the most respected lineages in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

During his purple and brown belt years, Kaine ranked first nationally within his division — a run that established him as one of Australia’s most formidable competitors at those levels.
A Coach Who Has Done the Work
Between 2020 and 2023, Kaine made a deliberate choice to seek out the best training available across Sydney. That journey included an extensive tenure at Grappling Education under ADCC veteran Keller Locke-Sodhi and Jeremy Skinner — sharpening his no-gi game to an elite level before bringing that knowledge back to Sutherland.
The result is a coaching style that is modern, technical, and built for real results — whether your goal is self-defence, fitness, or standing on a podium.
